SQL Server 2005 SP1 Released!

Microsoft has already - yes, already, as in 6 1/2 months after initial release - released SQL Server 2005 SP1! The main page for SP1 is part of the SQL Server site but doesn't give a lot of detail. The press release on SP1 is vaguely helpful, including

First major MSFP device, I think

I think the first major Windows Mobile Messaging and Security Feature Pack (AKU2) device is going to be out shortly via an update to the Treo 700W. I have been told about other devices, e. g. Asus, but I think this is the first "real" device to see it,

Virtual Server 2005 now completely free - and it supports Linux guests

Earlier in the life of this blog, I had a posting about how Virtual Server 2005 R2 had RTM'd, and it was very inexpensive . After that, the entry-level VMWare Server product became free . (Actually, their next version, currently in beta, is/will be free.)
