A bad setup dialog
I was installing Microsoft CRM 3.0 (a very long and painful process, took over 14 hours to successfully upgrade from 1.2), and was looking at the setup dialog:
The picture is a link to the full-size snapshot. Now, here's my concern with this dialog, and what makes it so bad: it's not at all obvious what the two bars are supposed to be telling me. I think the top one was the major step progress, and the bottom one was the minor step progress. However, the bottom bar did not increment in any sane fashion within a major step. It often sat for a long time, then moved a large percentage. It also on more than one step filled, with more work to do.
If you're going to give me two status bars, at least make it really obvious what they are telling me, and make their displayed values meaningful, or don't bother giving them to me.
